The OF Tape, Vol. 2 by Odd Future REVIEW

Odd Future, the hip-hop collective from Los Angeles, was formed in 2007. The 2 most famous members of the collective are most likely, Frank Ocean and Tyler the Creator. The OF Tape Vol. 2 is a sequel to the mix tape released in 2008, called "The Odd Future Tape". I have to say, these guys have creative titles (sarcasm). Well anyways, lets get into the music.

The album begins with a track called, "Hi", one of the members just goes along playfully dissing every member of the group. Once that's over, the track immediately fades into the next one. Well, I'm guessing that kids read this so how bout I make the titles safe. The next track is "B@#$*&!" and its not really anything special. The tracks that really stick out on this album, are "Rella", "Analog 2" and "Oldie". Rella is just a good Hodgy song, with some good rapping by Domo. However, Analog 2 is different as it showcases Frank Ocean's smooth vocals. Oldie, is a pure distillation of what Odd Future is about, as I'm pretty sure every member of the group gets in on the rapping.

Besides those three songs, there really wasn't anything too special about this album. Most of it is just youthful boasting.

Rating: 7/10
